The works of South Texas artist Mark Nesmith is showing at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts from June 4 to September 24 in an exhibit called "Transformation in the Wild World of Mark Nesmith: A Retrospective." The exhibit features two different styles of impressionist landscapes and anthropomorphic pieces meant to evoke dark humor.

Longview Museum of Fine Arts has purchased the former Longview National Bank and Regions Bank building on the corner of Fredonia and Methvin streets in downtown Longview. This location will become the new home of the museum within the coming years.
